When Mikaela told me about her wedding at the Carnegie Museum of Art, she shared a story I couldn’t stop thinking about. As a little girl, she attended her first wedding at CMOA with her parents. It was a grand, magical event that left a lasting impression. Mikaela grew up dreaming of her own wedding in that very space. Fast forward to March 2024, she and Adam made that dream a reality. Their day was timeless, elegant, and filled with personal touches.

The Venue
The Carnegie Museum of Art provided the perfect setting for Mikaela and Adam’s big day. Its marble staircases, grand halls, and beautiful architecture created an atmosphere that was both classic and memorable. The space allowed for stunning floral installations and brought their vision of a timeless wedding to life.

The Florals
Mikaela and Adam’s floral designs were a true reflection of their vision—neutral, natural, and elegant. Using shades of white, cream, and soft greens, we created florals that complemented the grandeur of the museum while keeping everything personal and inviting.
Ceremony:
The ceremony space was framed by lush arrangements of flowering cherry branches, white larkspur, and Italian ruscus. These natural elements added texture and movement to the elegant marble setting.

Bouquets:
Mikaela’s bouquet was a soft, romantic blend of white roses, butterfly ranunculus, and locally sourced tulips and daffodils. The textures and natural elegance of her bouquet tied everything together beautifully.

Reception:
Reception tables featured a mix of low centerpieces with tulips, hellebores, and roses, accented by taller arrangements with flowering branches. The soft candlelight and taupe linens created a warm and inviting atmosphere for dinner.

A Childhood Dream Come True
One of the most touching parts of this wedding was hearing Mikaela share how much the venue meant to her. The first wedding Mikaela remembers attending was here, at the museum, and she just knew someday she'd want her own wedding in this space. Seeing that dream come to life was not only special for Mikaela but for everyone who got to share the day with her and Adam.
