Kara & Matt's wedding is a case study in how to keep things low key and stress free when you're planning a Pittsburgh wedding from elsewhere. Every year, Bramble & Blossom works with a few couples who don't currently live in Pittsburgh and we're always excited to see our city through their eyes. These two planned their City of Bridges wedding from the Windy City and made it look easy.
Their first move to keep things fun? Hiring an absolute dream team of local vendors here in Pittsburgh.

At every turn, Kara and Matt chose details for their wedding celebration that were in line with their values and style. They chose us to bring American grown flowers, skipping imports and non-seasonal options in favor of more sustainably sourced blooms and foam-free mechanics. They chose Naturoll because heck no they did not want cake - they wanted ICE CREAM! And they chose Tyler Norman because...well, his work speaks for itself. Everyone involved with the planning sessions for this sweet couple could feel the joy - they were so invested in centering their guests' experience in every decision. What would be the least stressful / most fun option? They went that way. And when it came to the month of, the whole event was in the capable hands of Katie from Day of Pittsburgh and Cassandra from Heinz History Center. A serious dream team if ever there was one! We all gathered together to review floor plans and day-of timelines, making sure that every T was crossed and every I was dotted for Kara and Matt before they arrived from Chicago the week of their wedding. And when the day came, it was beyond what any of us had hoped for -the weather was dreamy, the spring branches were in full bloom, and the whole day went off without a hitch. All in all, a gorgeous spring celebration and a seamless out-of-towner planning experience.
Wishing these two a lifetime of joy and adventure!
