These two! Maddy and Jess were absolutely delightful from the very first phone call. I had the joy of working with these two while they planned their autumn wedding at Phipps and did my little happy dance on the morning of their wedding after dropping off Maddy's bouquet and Jess' floral pocket square. Some weddings truly are unforgettable.

On their big day, the sun cruised along in a rare sky of pure blue (if you're from Pittsburgh you know what a rare treat this is!), and Phipps Conservatory was transformed into a damn near fairytale level celebration space. Event random onlookers were captivated, as Jess and Maddy danced across the lawn with their nearest and dearest. They set off a magical rainbow of smoke and for a few moments, Phipps was unrecognizable, morphed into an absolutely fabulous fantasy version of herself.

Burgundy and blush, the chosen colors for Maddy and Jess's wedding, epitomized elegance and sophistication. The deep, rich tones of burgundy, reminiscent of the season's changing leaves, perfectly complemented the delicate and soft blush shades. From the exquisite floral arrangements to the carefully selected attire and decor, these colors infused every aspect of the celebration, lending an air of romance and enchantment to the day. Locally grown flowers are truly the most gorgeous option for Phipps brides. There, I said it.

Every aspect of Maddy and Jess's wedding was thoughtfully curated to create a dreamlike ambiance. Phipps offered a magical setting with its glass walls, allowing natural light to filter through, casting ethereal shadows on the couple's guests, as they exchanged their vows in the garden. The tables adorned with blush linens complemented the wild array of locally grown flowers our partner farmers cut just for these two.

Jess and Maddy's wedding at Phipps was a feast for the senses, a celebration of love and togetherness that left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to witness it. With the magical backdrop of nature's transition and the mesmerizing color palette of burgundy and blush, their wedding encapsulated the dreamy, romantic atmosphere that we first talked about almost a year earlier. It's folks like these two that make me excited to continue making floral designs for Pittsburgh weddings, our fair city really does have the coolest people.
